Markus Lüpertz | Zwischenzeit

The great German painter Markus Lüpertz is a welcome guest at the Galerie Terminus.
We are proud to have shown the artist and his highly diverse oeuvre in many solo-exhibitions at our gallery.

The current exhibition approaches his creative period from 1980 to 1999 – an intervening period, where Lüpertz questioned his artistic expression. This phase is marked by new artistic standards, with which he presents topics from German history and literature: extreme magnification, unusual perspectives and a dynamic application of color. He discovers his love for sculpture, creates numerous sets and is nominated as professor of painting at the Düsseldorf Art Academy.

We are pleased to introduce you to this fascinating part of Lüpertz oeuvre and welcome you in our showroom.

At the same time, the Haus der Kunst, Munich, shows the exhibition 'Über die Kunst zum Bild', which deals with the early and late creative phases of Lüpertz.
